Is There a Difference Between Life Coaching and Therapy?

"Generally, appreciation means some blend of thankfulness, admiration, approval, and gratitude. In the financial world, something that ‘appreciates’ grows in value. With the power tool of appreciation, you get the benefit of both perspectives: as you learn to be consistently thankful and approving, your life will grow in value."

What is a Vision?
A vision begins in your heart and formulates in your mind. It becomes something imagined that you would like to make real for your life. Ideas turn into intentions and a desire to make something happen in your life that is better in some way then what exists for you now. And there is no better time than now, the beginning of a new year, to create a vision of your own.
"A vision is the art of seeing things invisible."
-Jonathan Swift
"The best way to predict your future is to create it."
-Anonymous
“The ability to see beyond our present reality, to create, to invent what does not yet exist, to become what we not yet are. It gives us the capacity to live out of our imagination instead of our memory.”
-- Steven Covey
"You can't have a better tomorrow if your thinking about yesterday all the time."
-Charles Kettering
"Imagination is more important than knowledge."
-Albert Einstein
"It is better to aim high and miss then to never aim at all."
-Unknown
A vision is important to create any time in your life, but the New Year is an especially good time to create one because your mind is clear, you are looking ahead to new beginnings and reflecting on what it is you really want in your life.
Why Create a Vision?
Every choice that you make in life, big or small, has a cause and effect. Having a vision is important because without the direction of a clear vision for guidance, it is unlikely you will live a life of fulfillment. Without a vision you will not base your decisions on what you want and where you are headed, but instead you will base them on circumstances of the moment.
A clear vision of the future leads to satisfaction and a sense of meaning and purpose in life. It gives you a barometer for the decisions you make in your life. The lack of a clear vision leads to settling for whatever happens, and you end up feeling that your life is controlling you instead of you controlling your life.
"If we keep doing what we're doing,
we're going to keep getting what we're getting."
-Steven Covey
"When one door closes, another one opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don't see the one that has opened for us."
-Alexander Graham Bell
